What
an amazing level of improvement we are seeing at this level. From a
fundamentals stand point these boys are making incredible progress. Our
goal at this level is to prepare the boys for the Minors level and they
are certainly looking ready.
Managers and coaches are doing a great job and MVLL thanks them for their time and efforts.
Watch for Player of The Week announcements. The winners get a free desert at Goldie's

Managers
So far so good. The season is going great.
We are now instituting the pitch count. All batters will
now see 8 pitches. I know the machine has a mind of its own so lets say
8 good pitches.
After 8 pitches the batter is out. If he fouls off the last pitch
he gets another until he doesn't foul it off or gets a hit. PLEASE
adhere to this so we have no problems.
If a batter hits a shot that goes untouched and rolls past the
outfielders - give him a double. If a batter hits a fly ball over
everybody give him a home run. (use your own judgement here) Any
questions contact me.
1st inning you bat the entire team. Each inning following you get
3 outs OR bat the entire team. If you don't get 3 outs and you bat
everybody - thats it you do not keep batting.
Just to be clear. We field a pure infield - pitcher, catcher, 1B,
2B, 3B SS and 4 outfielders. If you have more players that that - they
sit.
ALL (male) PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A PROTECTIVE CUP
Game times are 1 1/2 hours. If you can play 9 innings - have at it but play the whole 1 1/2 hours.
Please pass this on to your coaches so there is no confusion in case you are absent.
