Announcements/Meetings:

Managers,

The last week of April we saw the Mets take command of first place once again. Must be something about Ike Davis and his quick rise to the Big Leagues!  A half game separates them from the second place Pirates setting up nicely for a Thursday evening battle for the title @SRP #2 at 5:00pm.......get your popcorn. Rene, you going to bflipping burgers out there that night? We also saw the Cubbies with one man down fight back into sole position of 3rd place with 3 wins and 0 losses in week 14. Nice job to Lynn and the kids from Waveland Avenue. And those Twins as cool as the other side of the pillow going 2 and 1 on the week and solidifying a first round Home advantage! Now that hockey is over Blake Parker is fielding a legitimate team without help from the Coyotes south of the boarder. Might have to now check his kids VISA'S In all seriousness, nice job coach Parker the boys seem more focused!

Looking forward to a strong finish this week in the regular season as we anticipate the Playoffs to begin in a week or so! Remember we will seed the teams 1 through 8 after the wild card game! Should be a great week of baseball.

Thank you to everyone for making for a great season!

March 2010

Well were nearly through the month of March and the races are getting tighter. This past week we saw the first place Pirates and Cubs meet for the first time with the Pirates coming out ahead to hold onto sole possession of first place.Solid pitching with timely hitting from the the "we are family crew managed by KK"

Hats off to the Twinkies and there 3 win week taking down the mighty Cubs, Red Sox and the first place Pirates. We also saw the Miracle Mets win a big one over at the Majors field under the lights on Wednesday night at the hand of those pesky Cubs. The Dodgers scored 12 + runs in the bottom of the 43rd to take one from the Fish. All that without Skipper Peralta...........still waiting for that final score Chris!

Take a look at the latest standings that will be posted on our MVLL web site by early next week!
