Tryouts
TRYOUT INFORMATION
Tryouts are held two separate occasions to provide players ages 8-18 to be evaluated by the player agent, manager and coaches in order to be drafted on teams in their respective divisions. (Note: tryouts for 8 year olds is optional as most 8 years will remain in the AAA - Machine Pitch division).
What should I bring:
Each participant should bring a bottle of water, baseball mitt, batting helmet and bat. If you do not own a batting helmet or bat, they will be provided for your use during tryouts.
What should I wear:
Players should wear baseball pants, t-shirt, cleats, baseball cap and protective cup.
What skills will be tested:
Each player will be rated in four areas:
1. Running - timed running from home plate to first base
2. Fly Balls - catching fly balls in the outfield and throwing to second base
3. Grounders - field ground balls in shortstop position and throwing the balls to first base
4. Hitting - hitting pitched balls

8-12 year olds
There are two options available but it is only necessary that each player attend ONE
Saturday, January 30
8:30 - 8/9 year olds
10:00 - 10 year olds
11:30 - 11/12 year olds
Sunday, January 31 (originally scheduled for January 23rd)
1:00 - 8/9 year olds
2:00 - 10:00 year olds
3:00 - 11/12 year olds
NOTE: If your child was originally scheduled for January 23rd, please attend the January 31st tryout to avoid an overload on Saturday.
13 and older
Date to be announced, sometime toward the end of February, to be held on the Junior field at Scottsdale Ranch Park
